Where this policy applies
This Cookie Policy applies to the Amstercode website and any landing pages we host under our own domains and subdomains.
For websites and platforms we build for clients, their own cookie policies apply. In those cases, Amstercode usually acts as a processor or technical implementer.
Short explanation
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information between pages or visits (for example language preferences or consent settings).
Related technologies (local storage, pixels) can serve similar purposes. When we say “cookies” here, we also include these comparable techniques where relevant.
Categories of cookies
On our own site we use the following categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies — needed for basic site functions and security.
- Functional cookies — remember small preferences and improve usability.
- Analytics cookies — understand site usage in aggregated form.
- Marketing cookies and pixels — measure campaign activity only after you consent.
Meta Pixel is not loaded and Meta marketing events are not sent unless you allow Marketing cookies. Rejecting or withdrawing that choice stops future Meta tracking.
Why we place cookies
- To keep the website technically secure and stable.
- To remember limited choices (language, cookie preferences).
- To analyse traffic responsibly and improve content.
- With permission, to measure the effectiveness of Amstercode advertising campaigns.
Where possible, we use privacy-friendly analytics options with shorter retention and aggregated reporting.
How you can manage cookies
You have several options to control cookies:
- Browser settings: delete cookies and block new ones (site-specific or global).
- Cookie controls on this site: choose which optional categories to accept.
- Privacy tools/extensions that block scripts and trackers.
If you block all cookies, parts of the site may not function as intended (especially forms or consent features).
Third-party services that may set cookies
Some integrations may set their own cookies, for example:
- Embedded maps or videos.
- Analytics or performance monitoring services.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API, only when Marketing consent is active.
- Chat tools or form providers, where used.
These parties have their own policies. We aim to work only with reputable services and configure them in a privacy-conscious way.
Connection with our Privacy Policy
Cookies can involve personal data when they identify or link to a person. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Updates to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if our use of cookies changes or if laws/guidelines are updated. The version on this page is the version that applies.
